Octopuses Have Three Hearts
An octopus has three hearts. Two hearts pump blood to the gills, where it picks up oxygen, while the third pumps oxygen-rich blood to the rest of the body. Interestingly, when an octopus swims, the heart that supplies the body stops beating temporarily.
