A Blue Whale’s Heart Can Weigh As Much As a Car

The blue whale is the largest animal known to have ever lived. Its enormous heart can weigh around 180 kilograms (400 pounds), roughly comparable to the weight of a small car.

The heart is powerful enough to pump blood through the whale’s massive body and keep its huge circulatory system working.
